The GetPRO Professional Grassroots Sports Nutrition Grant Programme is a funding scheme, hosted in proud partnership with The Nutrition Society. It gives financial support to early career sports nutritionists to help them provide expert nutrition advice and suppport to their local grassroots sports clubs and teams.
The GetPRO Professional Grassroots Sports Nutrition Grant is open to early career sports nutritionists in the UK whose last graduation (e.g. bachelors or masters degree) in sports nutrition, exercise science, dietetics, or a related field was completed within the past 10 years, as defined by The Nutrition Society.
The competitive grants are available to early career sports nutritionists who are supporting or wish to provide grassroots sports clubs with evidence-based, expert sports nutrition advice and support. Sports nutritionists can apply for a grant of up to £2,000 to cover costs for their own time, travel, resources or tools. The programme is targeted toward providing support in adult/older teen sports club or team settings. Applicants are also encouraged to make use of the free, expert-created resources on GetPRO Professional to assist them in their provision of expert advice, though this is not a requirement.
